Ashley’s originals are hand painted acrylic on canvas. No airbrushing or computer generation is used. The process is an intuitive one, mixing color by eyesight to create a range of subtle gradients.

The process is a step by step meditation, painting one row, taping over it, and painting the next with each layer drying in between. No tape is left at the end of the process but the use of tape creates a soft ridge of texture between each gradient.
