Artist Statement: Still Radiance

An afternoon in the pool, clear turquoise water, perfect blue skies, warm sun on your face. A walk through a quiet neighborhood, palms swaying in the light breeze. An early evening, looking out over the mountains, watching the sun set and the twilight fade. 

Each a meditation of time and place. 

This series is a reflection of moments that bring me back to myself. There is a stillness, a quietness to the desert that is hard to find anywhere else. It allows for reflection, respite from the chaos of the world. As a part time resident, I am constantly counting down the days until I return. When I can again have an afternoon in the pool, just me, the cicadas, palms swaying in the breeze, and all things at peace once again.
